find a document’s DOI (digital object identifier)

An article’s digital object identifier (DOI), a unique identify, is usually found in the database record for the article, or on the article’s first page.

A DOI is usually formatted in the following style: https://doi.org/10.3390/ijerph17134814

If the DOI is not present in the database record or in the article, typically on the first page, search Free DOI Lookup (CrossRef).
